Racial Stress & Intergenerational Trauma Support
Racial stress and intergenerational trauma are deeply rooted experiences that can shape how you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. For many individuals in Black and Brown communities, these experiences are not isolated events—they are ongoing, lived realities shaped by history, culture, systemic inequities, and generational patterns of survival.
You may notice symptoms such as chronic anxiety, hypervigilance, emotional exhaustion, identity conflict, difficulty trusting others, or feeling constantly “on edge” even in safe environments. These responses are not personal failures—they are the nervous system’s adaptation to long-standing and often unspoken forms of stress and trauma.
At our practice, we provide compassionate, culturally responsive psychiatric care that centers the lived experiences of Black and Brown individuals navigating racial stress and intergenerational trauma. We understand that healing requires more than symptom management—it requires being seen, understood, and supported within the full context of your identity and lived experience.
Our approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and grounded in cultural awareness. We create a safe, affirming space where you do not have to explain or minimize your experiences to be understood.
Treatment may include:
-
Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and individualized treatment planning
-
Support for anxiety, depression, and trauma-related symptoms
-
Nervous system regulation and coping strategies
-
Medication management when appropriate
-
Strength-based, culturally responsive care
-

We recognize the impact of systemic racism, historical trauma, and generational patterns on mental health. Healing is not about forgetting your story—it is about learning how to carry it with more ease, stability, and self-compassion.
You deserve care that honors your full humanity and supports your healing in a way that feels safe, validating, and empowering.
