I believe that true healing happens when you reclaim ownership of your life—your emotions, your habits, and your choices—within a trusting partnership that honors your strengths and goals.
Hi, I'm Claudenie Mondesir, PA-C
I’m a psychiatric provider with a whole-person approach to mental health. I blend integrative psychiatry with traditional medicine to help patients heal at the root—not just manage symptoms. I believe care should be thoughtful, collaborative, and deeply personal. That means looking beyond diagnoses and timelines to truly understand who you are, what you’ve been through, and where you want to go.
Before founding Monarch Holistic & Wellness Services, I spent over 13 years working in hospitals, community health centers, and outpatient clinics. Across all those settings, I saw the same painful pattern: patients feeling dismissed, rushed, or like just another number. It pushed me to reimagine what psychiatric care could be—slower, deeper, and more attuned to the whole person. In my practice, we take our time. We talk about nutrition, trauma, hormones, culture, identity. We co-create a plan that aligns with your values, your reality, and your healing goals.
My passion for medicine began long before formal training. I was raised by a woman who didn’t have a medical degree, but who cared for her community with a deep wisdom—my grandmother. She treated people using herbs, intuition, and fierce compassion. Watching her taught me something foundational: that healing is about connection. That people heal better when they’re seen fully—not just as patients, but as whole beings. Her legacy is what first drew me into medicine and still grounds my practice today.
My path has been anything but linear. I’ve been a veteran, a middle school science teacher, a program director at a major university, and a clinician across specialties—from primary care to dermatology to psychiatry. Each chapter of my life has given me a richer understanding of people, systems, and resilience. I know what it’s like to start over. To adapt. To find your footing again when the world around you shifts. That’s why I’m especially passionate about supporting patients through life transitions, perinatal/postpartum shifts, and the unique stressors faced by those in Black and Brown communities.
I believe that your story matters—not just the parts that show up on a symptom checklist. In our work together, I’ll bring clinical expertise, cultural sensitivity, and deep respect for your lived experience. My goal isn’t to “fix” you. It’s to walk beside you, offer guidance, and help you return to a version of yourself that feels grounded, empowered, and whole.
When I’m not seeing patients, I’m usually spending time with my family, discovering new places through travel, or challenging myself in a spin class or pilates studio. I’m a lifelong learner who’s always reading something about medicine—or planning my next foodie adventure. I bring that same curiosity and care into every patient relationship.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like no one’s fully heard you before—I want you to know that there’s another way. I’d be honored to walk that path with you.
