Postpartum Depression Support
The transition into motherhood can be beautiful—but it can also feel overwhelming, isolating, and emotionally heavy. If you’re experiencing persistent sadness, anxiety, irritability, guilt, or a sense of disconnection from yourself or your baby, you are not alone. Postpartum depression is more common than many realize, and it is both real and treatable.
At our practice, we provide compassionate, culturally responsive care for women navigating postpartum depression and related mood changes. We specialize in supporting high-functioning women—those who may appear to be managing on the outside while silently struggling within.
Our approach is holistic and integrative, recognizing that postpartum mental health is influenced by biological, emotional, social, and cultural factors. We take the time to understand your unique experience—your identity, your support system, your stressors—and tailor care that meets you where you are.
Treatment may include:
-
Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and personalized treatment planning
-
Medication management (when appropriate and safe for breastfeeding)
-
Support for anxiety, intrusive thoughts, irritability, and sleep disturbances
-
Hormonal and lifestyle-informed care
-
Nervous system regulation and coping strategies
-
Culturally sensitive, judgment-free support
We also understand the unique challenges faced by Black and Brown women, including disparities in maternal care, lack of support, and the pressure to “hold it all together.” You deserve a space where you feel seen, heard, and deeply supported.
Seeking help is not a sign of weakness—it’s a powerful step toward healing. With the right care, you can feel like yourself again and reconnect with your sense of balance, identity, and motherhood.
